2 Illustrious collectible books on the Chinese art of Carving.

1. The Palace Museum Collection of Elite Carvings, Beijing 2002. Text in Chinese with English summary translation. Introduction in Chinese and English. This book presents 224 carvings from the Palace Museum Collection. The collection is mainly made up of pieces from the Ming (1368- 1644) and the Qing (1616- 1911) periods. The carvings represented are bamboo, wood, ivory and Rhinoceros horn. 

2. Shang Yi Shan Fang Collection of Chinese Ivory Carvings,  Jiang Yi & Yang Xuejun, Gu Wu Xuan Publishers, January 2000. This very rare book is in Chinese throughout. It is very difficult to find in this hardback version.
It records a very important collection of Chinese Ivories and forms a perfect companion book to the above offer.

All books presented are from our own private library which we are currently disbanding. I supply enough photographs, intentionally, so that a purchaser can discern the books condition. Overall in 'Good' to 'Very Good' condition, see photos for evidence.
