A spectacular rare egg of Elephant Bird, scientific name Aepyornis Maximus.
Aepyornis is an extinct giant bird lived in Madagascar until the 1700s. It could reach 3 m in height and weigh more than 500 kg.
The eggs were approx. 30 cm high with a circumference of 70 cm at least.
Given its unusual size and especially since this specimen no longer exists, these eggs have become a real object of desire for expert collectors who well know that these eggs are now increasingly difficult to find.
