Late 19th century/early 20th century - in good condition
Beautiful Kain Songket in good condition.
Ceremonial hip or shoulder cloth from Sumatra/Palembang.
This beautiful cloth is made of warm-red natural silk with gold brocade 
The cloth is in very good condition and free of stains.

A description of this type of ceremonial cloth is to be found in the standard book “Oost Aziatische kunst” ("East Asian art") on pages 486/487, among others.
Therefore an honest description.
