Old chess of central Africa from one of the most famous markets of Senegambia. Museum item. This chess made by one of the artists of the Mangbetu people located in Kinshasa represents the sculpted and polished carvings of the Monbuttu tribe that extended the heads of its members. So in this chess we can recognize the most famous African figures in the history of the continent, with representation of the totemic animal of the tribe, the giraffe and its handmade huts. This chess and board are made of ebony and the pieces of mahogany. The board included in the lot is of painted wood.
