. An opportunity to own a very rare antique Primus Engineering Outfits Box Set
. Primus was the earliest serious British made rival to Meccano in the field of toy construction sets
. The sets were manufactured by W. Butcher & Sons of Blackheath, London. They were already established as a reputable maker of fine photographic equipment
. Primus sets were first introduced in 1913 and went out of production in around 1926
. The sets differed from Meccano because both metal and wooden parts were used. To drive this difference home, the company used the slogan: 'Look! It's Wood and Metal'
. On the front of the box it states: 'A really instructive hobby for boys' 
. 13 compartments with over 60 parts and 2 wooden rail tracks
