The chess game depicts all authentic portrait sculptures of the heroes of this battle, including Napoleon, Wellington, Ney and the Prince of Orange.
The pieces were made by artist Philip J. Haythornthwaite, and consist of a copper base with an enamel band, the sculptures are made of tin.
Each figure has been carefully manufactured with a lot of detail, and  it comes with a description of each chess piece.

Complete in luxury storage cassette, the lid is also the chess board.
Size cassette/board: 35 cm x 35 cm and about 7 cm high.
King is 6 cm, Queen is 5.5 cm and pawn is 5 cm high.

Was exclusively available at the WATERLOO Museum.

Condition: Nice condition, has not been played with, wood shows some light stripes here and there.

The chess game consists of 32 authentic portrait sculptures of the heroes of the Battle of Waterloo. 

Each piece is meticulously designed and cast in tin, making it comfortably heavy and yet soft to hold. Each piece stands on an enameled base and was created by Philip J. Haythornthwaite and carefully crafted of tin by Franklin Mint. 
Every piece has its own certificate of authenticity containing a description. 

Well-packaged and registered shipping with track and trace code. Given the fragility of the parts, pick up is preferred. Shipping possible but at the buyer’s  risk.
