Offered is a Sony FM/AM Solid State 4 Band Reciever type TFM 8600W from 1972 with multiple traces of use and some damages, the aluminium strip on the bottom front is missing.
This radio allows you receive normal channels but also pick up the calls of and in aircraft.
Therefore, when it was new you had to request a special permit from Air Band communication.
The TFM-8600W was a special receiver for people who were interested in aviation communication and they have probably only been sold in small numbers.
It is beautiful when you can hear everything that people say in passing airplanes with this radio/receiver.  
You can find connections for earphones, a tape recorder, external 6 V power supply and also screw terminals to connect external AM and FM antenna and ground.
It is powered by four large batteries, but also has a connection for an external power supply.
