Late Victorian Hanau silver heart-shaped trinket dish depicting a pastoral gallant scene (scène galante). The courting couple in Rococo attire are taking a stroll through the countryside and are surrounded by blooming trees. The dish is trimmed with a fluted border.
Marked with the pseudo French hallmarks that were used by Wolf & Knell, Hanau and sterling silver import marks for England.
