Technos - Oversize Dress Watch - Senza Prezzo di Riserva - Cal. AS 1486 - Uomo - 1950-1959

This oversize Technos dress watch from the 1950s is a true rarity at 39mm, produced at a time when the typical dress watch was 33-35mm.

Watches of that size were more commonly tool watches, such as aviator, military or divers' watches, rather than in elegant dress styles. A 39mm dress watch would have stood out as avant-garde or unconventional for the time, appealing to only a niche market, if available at all. Today this would be an interesting find for serious collectors and watch historians. Founded in 1900, Technos was a prominent and prolific manufacturer globally in and around WW2.

The steel case is in good shape, untarnished and with its gold-plating intact.
The dial is discoloured with age but there is no damage to hands and applique markers. The Technos logo and print still intact and clearly legible.
The AS1486 movement has been cleaned and functions well for its age.
