This is a Japanese samurai helmet from the Edo period.
It is thought to be about 300-400 years old.
On the inside are written the names of the creator, Kotobukiyama Kousou 寿山光宗, and the user, Kitazono Dosuke 北園堂助.
There are dirt, scratches, tears, fading, stains, damage and holes, but it is not in bad condition for something of its age.
It is an exceptional piece with extremely high historical value.
