Il Vassalo is a wine shaped in the 80s/90s by the winemaker Giorgio Grai, one of the most influencial Italian enologists renowned for its blending intuitions and the elegance and cleanness of its creations.
A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, it derives its name and it is said to benefit from facing the Pope's summer estate in northern Lazio, towards Tuscany.
