Translated by Filleau de St. Martin, including his Continuation, and copies the text of
earlier editions in 1713 and 1722. Includes 32 full-page engravings, unlisted,
unsigned & uncaptioned. 24 of these (vol.1-4) are after Coypel
by an unknown engraver, the remainder (v.5-6) are in the Continuation by an
unknown artist & engraver. There are also pictorial headers to each “Livre” of the
text. The plates are at (v.1) pp.10, 30, 257, 296, (v.2) 33, 273, (v.3) 112, 164, 234,
236, 247, 258, 318, 371, (v.4} 14, 54, 90, 123 138, 144, 161, 178, 367, 429, (v.5) 72,
152, 217, 255, (v.6) 101, 156, 184, 393.
