This is a beautiful bronze Viking triangle amulet. In ancient cultures the triangle was often a symbol for balance and true wisdom. But it can also be interpreted as a symbol for you, existing in the present, past and future.
The corners of the triangle each form a circle. The circle also represents balance but also life. In Norse mythology the circle also represents Jormungandr, the Midgard Snake. This snake was so large that it surrounded the whole world while grasping its own tail. The legends say the end battle (Ragnarok) will start when Jormungandr releases its tail (and breaks the balance)
It measures 40 x 45 mm. It is dated 7th to 10th century . You can actually wear this remarquable piece of jewelry, a modern chain is included.
