Hammerton, and was designed to provide a series of volumes, each complete in itself, which would provide humour to the nation. With contributions from "the masters of comic draughtsmanship and the leading wits of the age" of Punch Magazine. With tales taken from the beginning of the magazine in 1841, up until time of publishing. Each volume is highly illustrated with full page illustrations throughout. Condition: Hardcover with Red Buckram Cloth and each spine has gilt and depicts a character portraying, front board of all books is a sketch of Mr Punch at work. All in good condition. Bindings are good. All pages intact. Some foxing to pages, as expected of age.
