Johannes Wouterus (Jan) van Trirum lived and worked in Rotterdam. He made study trips to Italy and France (Paris), and was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. Trirum painted and sculpted, mainly portraits, still lifes and landscapes.
Later romantic-naturalistic, with mostly playing kittens and cats as subject.

Visualizza traduzioneThe painting is very beautiful but the packaging was unsuitable for the shipment. The frame is scratched. A few of bubble wrap would have been enough to prevent the damage.
