◆"振袖" (furisode)
Furisode refers to a type of traditional Japanese kimono. Specifically, it is a formal kimono with long sleeves, typically worn by young, unmarried women. The sleeves are much longer than those of other types of kimono, extending to the knees or even beyond. Furisode are often worn for important events such as coming-of-age ceremonies (Seijin Shiki), weddings, and other formal celebrations. The garment is usually brightly colored and decorated with intricate patterns.
This furisode expresses the full bloom of hibiscus and plum blossoms, representing the vibrant beauty of Japan's spring flowers. The design also depicts a stage from Noh, a traditional Japanese theater, with people leisurely enjoying the spring flowers while watching a Noh performance. The illustration conveys a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, blending nature's splendor with the cultural refinement of the Noh theater.
