Stunning antique pair of German porcelain bouquet vases dating to the Edwardian period. Baluster bodies with wide flared rims are flanked with beautiful richly gilded handles in the form of scrolling acanthi leaves.
The vases are hand-painted with large rose flowerheads in the warm autumnal yellow and iron red shades against a blue and turquoise green ground. The rims and pedestal bases are decorated with gold dusting.
Exquisite pair that perfectly captures the opulence and style of the Jugendstil period.
