Are You Experienced’ is the first studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in May 1967.
The album showcases Jimi Hendrix's innovative approach to songwriting and electric guitar playing, which ushered in a new direction in psychedelic and rock music.

The album was recorded over a period of five months, from late October 1966 to early April 1967, in three London studios: De Lane Lea, CBS and Olympic.
It was released in the UK on 12 May 1967 and stayed in the British charts for 33 weeks, peaking at number two.
In the USA, the album was released on 23 August 1967, reached number five in the Billboard Top LPs chart and stayed in the charts for 106 weeks.
