the winery For more than a century, generations of theLarrieta family made wine for family and friends, in a small winery. Pascual Larrieta has 21 hectares of its own vineyards, 75% of which are planted in the traditional glass and the rest are trellised. We have 5 hectares of vineyards that are over 75 years old, the rest being between 14 and 50 years old. Most of our vineyards face south and are protected from the cold north winds by the Sierra Cantabria. The vineyards are located between 400 and 600 meters above sea level on clayey-calcareous soils.

Made with the most select Tempranillo variety grapes from our oldest vineyards, harvested manually in small boxes and selected on a sorting table. Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.

CATA's notes

View: Ruby-cherry red color.

Smell: Dominant aromas of very ripe black and red fruits with notes of licorice, typical of the variety, perfectly harmonized with roasted and spicy tones of wood, where vanilla and cinnamon emerge.

Taste: Sensations in the mouth of great volume, structure and freshness with very sweet tannins and a very long and intense finish, again in the aromatic.

Pairing: Perfect to accompany legumes, spicy dishes, red meat, game and cured cheeses.
