Ram and Mar are a two-man collective from Portugal formed in 2006 … graffiti writers and visual artists . Friends . Combining each artist's distinctive style – Mar's pantheon of fascinating, larger-than-life figures and Ram's experimental, psychedelic other-worldly realities – into a unique magical universe, their efforts have been focused on breaking formal and conceptual boundaries as they create poetic new worlds that express a visionary sensitivity materialised in ethereal landscapes inhabited by an imaginative cast of fantastic creatures and characters. The collective has been garnering high acclaim over the years for the innovative proposals it has been presenting in festivals, exhibitions and various events in the growing urban art scene.

Mar (b. 1974)
Working mainly with figurative elements, Mar is well known for creating a unique pantheon of expressive and whimsical figures inspired by a combination of interests that range from contemporary pop culture to classical and oriental mythology.

Ram (b. 1976)
Celebrated as a creator of visionary worlds expressing humankind's primeval desire to explore the vast unknown of both the cosmos and the mind, Ram's energetic yet harmonious explosions of colour give rise to fantastic realities ruled by the dynamic and primordial forces of nature.
