Official painter of the Edo Shogunate.
His name is “Morinobu 守信”.
His style of painting was elegant and simple.
He was considered the founder of the Kano school.
Later, he was given the title of Hogen and was given the name Tanyusai.
Died in 1674, age 73.
The painting is old but the mounting is relatively new.
There are stains, dirt and creases due to aging.
It has been repaired but insect-eaten traces of the original damage are visible.
This is an antique item.
