Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3)

History: The meteorite was found by meteorite hunters on January 5 and 6, 2022, in the southwestern part of the Algerian desert and subsequently purchased by the main mass holder on May 6, 2023, from a meteorite dealer in Agadir, Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Many dark grayish to black fragments some of which partly covered with fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows a dark grayish to black interior and is composed of well-defined, mostly rounded separated chondrules (apparent mean diameter about 350 µm) and mineral fragments set in abundant matrix dominated by Fe-rich olivine. Sodic plagioclase is present as small isolated grains dispersed throughout the matrix. Opaque phases are troilite, pentlandite, and Ti-bearing chromite; no metal has been detected.

Geochemistry: olivine: Fa23.6±15.3 (Fa0.5-40.7, n=16); low-Ca pyroxene: Fs13.7±5.9Wo0.5±0.3 (Fs2.6-21.8Wo0.2-1.1, n=12)

Shock stage: S2.
Weathering grade: low.
