The Orient Express was a world-famous luxury train of the "Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits" that ran from Paris with connections from London to Istanbul/Constantinople.

TABLE LAMP
The lamp is equipped with a glass hood which makes the lamp look like an oil lamp. The hood is adjustable by sliding it up or down, so that the light can be adjusted. The detailed decoration of the base with lion paws illustrates the oriental atmosphere of the Ottoman Empire.
