A group of 4 Arabic manuscripts from India/Kashmir dating back to C1700 from various damaged/disbound prayer books purchased in accredited London auction houses. The manuscripts are all in good condition and make an interesting group. Individually they are:

Image 4 and 4a. Manuscript leaf from a Kashmiri Qur'an dated 1843, with fine marginal Juz. Written in neat nashki script it contains verses from the Medinian Chapter 33, Al-Ahzab (The Enemy Alliance) v26-33. Size 17x9.5cm.

Image 4b and 4c. A manuscript page c1850, from a Kashmiri copy of the Hafez-Diwan by Mohammed Shams od-Din Hafez. The page contains two main blocks of script separated by two illuminated panels tp and bottom of the page and divided down the middle by the same arabesque decorative device. Size 16.5x11cm.

Image 4d and 4e. A large form manuscript leaf from a copy of the Qur'an scribed in North India C1700. Although plain, it is an attractive and large form folio, 26x18cm with an illuminated roundel in the margin.

Images 4f-4g. A bi-folio from an Ottoman prayer book C1810, with the illuminated verse marking (juz) in the left folio, from the Meccan Chapter 12, Yusuf (Joseph) describing how he becomes the Minister of finance in Egypt overseeing the goods of the land. Each folio sized 12.5x9cm.

Delighted you have received your manuscript and thank you for your kind review. Kind regards

Lovely 19th century manuscript miniature that arrived early, and nicely mounted with a bibliographical note. A very fine seller that I return to bid and buy from often. Thank you.

Item as described. Quick dispatch. Good communication. Couldn't be any happier. (Have to pay taxes and customs now - but that was clearly stated, foreseeable and not the sellers fault. Damned Brexit!)

Thanks so much for this feedback. Yes - damned Brexit. All the fault of in-fighting in the UK Govt and a mistaken belief that a vote would make it all go away! It has caused small business and private individuals a good deal of unnecessary trouble.

Exceptional seller, fine manuscript leaves, securely packed and shipped promptly. Much appreciated. Thanks very much.
