Keynes’ most important and influential economics text

"The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money was written by the English economist John Maynard Keynes. The book, generally considered to be his magnum opus, is largely credited for creating the terminology of modern macroeconomics. It sought to bring about a revolution, commonly referred to as the "Keynesian Revolution", in the way economists thought and especially in relation to the proposition that a market economy tends naturally to restore itself to full employment after temporary shocks. Regarded widely as the cornerstone of Keynesian thought, the book attacked the established classical economics based upon laissez-faire and introduced important concepts such as the consumption function, the multiplier, the marginal efficiency of capital and liquidity preference”.

Book Dimensions: 22 x 15 x 3 cm and Number of Pages: 403 including index

Condition
External covers in nice shape, slightly marked, and with light wear to corners. The book is clean inside and tidy. Little name on top front free endpaper page. John Maynard Keynes
“John Maynard Keynes was the most celebrated economist of the Twentieth Century, his theories widely (if selectively) embraced by the ruling political and banking elites because they appear to encourage endless borrow-and-spend inflationary credit bubbles, which in turn allow the politicos to (in the doctrine attributed to Roosevelt henchman and Soviet agent Harry Hopkins) "tax and tax, spend and spend, elect and elect."
