Here's a beautiful, large bronze colored spelter statue of "Le Troubadour" by the renowned sculpteur "Emile Louis Picault". It's signed "E. Picault" along with the "Fabrication Française Paris Made In France" seal on the base. It's made in the late 19th century and in good condition, though does show signs of its age (please see photos for further information).

The statue depicts a 16th-17th century troubadour playing what appears to be a long necked lute? He wears a tunic bearing a coat of arms with a roaring lion and a belt decorated with a lion's head, a symbol of courage and valor along with a dagger and money pouch hanging loosely by his left leg. The quality of the statue is superb, the fabric of his cloak is purposely textured to make it look like cloth and the face is sculpted to a high standard and the whole figure is fixed atop a black marble base.

The dimensions are Height: 60cm, Width: 23.5cm, Depth: 17cm.

This will look fantastic in a large home/room.

Item will be shipped well packed.

Posters advertised as 1930s lithographs, received modern reprints. Seller admits that it is reprints, but refuses any solution and finally even communication. Very disappointing - Stay away
