Scarce first Edition, and printing. Complete set with original dust jackets. Each volume includes a preface, and several white and black maps and genealogical tables. Published by Cassell and Company Ltd, London, 1956 - 1958. Publisher’s original maroon cloth boards. Gilt lettering to spine.

Volume II - The New World (1956)

Volume III - The Age of Revolution (1957)

Book Dimensions: 25 x 16 cm
Condition
The set is beautifully bound, designed, and illustrated. Firm and well-bound books. Light wear, and tears to corners ad edges of dust jackets. Internally; in very good condition. Old inscriptions dated 1956/58 on first front free endpaper page of all volumes. Pages are clean and unmarked. Inner hinges are very good. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Text body, and illustrations are bright and clean (Please see pictures).
