A ceramic model of Uchide no kozuchi 打ち出の小槌, the mallet of Daikoku, one of the eight immortals. The name of the object translates as "strike-appear mallet", and in popular folklore can be used as a magic mallet to make anything appear, particularly wealth and success. Measuring circa 31cm in length (not including rope and tassel) and weighing 1834g, decorated in polychrome enamels and gold.
Condition: Excellent, no damages or repairs. Minimal wear commensurate with age.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
