Unusual, rare vase by Pallme König & Habel, Austria/Bohemia, Elisabethhütte, Art Deco, 1920s, TOP condition.
Glass thread overlay in red and orange.
Weight 1370 grams, height 22 cm, max. diameter 16 cm.
The Pallme glassworks was first founded around 1786 by Ignaz Pallme-König in Steinschönau, Austria. In the 1880s and 1890s, the Pallme-Konig company produced and exported high-quality engraved glass and chandeliers. At the turn of the century, they merged with Wilhelm Habel's glassworks Elisabethhütte near Teplitz and became known as ‘Glasfabrik Elisabeth, Pallme-König und Habel’. Production of this beautiful, highly specialised type of design continued until the early 1920s.
