Ardbeg - Kildalton - Original bottling - 70cl

Since its establishment in 1815, The Ardbeg distillery has been on a tumultuous rollercoaster ride of ownership changes, closures, and reopening. Stability was only achieved relatively recently, when the ailing distillery was purchased in 1997 by industry giants, Glenmorangie. The subsequent years have seen the distillery’s popularity swell, with fans enticed by the signature style of tarry, sooty smoke, balanced against citric sweetness and an oily mouthfeel. While Ardbeg still retains its distinctive personality, it has definitely been influenced by Glenmorangie’s propensity for experimenting with cask finishing, and (dare we say it) NAS expressions. Kildalton Project: This is a charity bottling for the Kildalton Project (and not to be confused with the Kildalton 1980! ), which is part of the North Highland Initiative. This charity's aim is to support fragile communities across the northern highlands and around Scotland, and proceeds from the sale of this whisky went towards building a new community hub in the town of Port Ellen. The project is named after the Kildalton cross, a monolithic high cross carved in 800AD, and located in the grounds of a ruined church on Islay's south east coast. Bottled: 2014 Cask Type: Bourbon, First-Fill & Refill Sherry casks 46% ABV / 70cl tears to the edge of the box. Bottle no L13 217 17:27 6ML Box is excellent condition Please check carefully if DPD delivery service is available to you, otherwise the package will not be sent. There is no service outside Europe and the European islands. Service to UK is available. For reliability and security, the package will be delivered to the nearest DPD parcel shop where you can collect the package.
