Marvellous coffee set for 6 persons, produced by Herend - “Rothschild”Collection, well known hand painted pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, gilt banding, in excellent to pristine condition.

This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.

All pieces are marked with blue Herend shield mark and numbered.
The set include one round coffee pot with rose knob lid , one sugar bowl with rose knob lid and handles, one milk jug and six coffee cups with six saucers.
All 15 pieces are in perfect condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.

Dimensions according to Herend standards:

1 x Coffee pot: diameter with handle 14 cm, height 17 cm
1 x Sugar bowl: height 9,3 cm, diameter with handles 12,7 cm
1 x Milk jug: diameter with handle 10,8 cm, height 5,2 cm
6 x Coffee cups: diameter with handles 8,5 cm, height: 4,8 cm
6 x Saucers: diameter 10,6 cm, height 2,3 cm
