A nice pair of 19th century Blue de Hue opium jarts made in China for the Vietnamese market.
Both jars are densely decorated with a dragon flying through clouds, chasing a pearl of wisdom. The larger jar has copper mounting with a handle, decorated with two repousse bats on either side. The cental 'cup' part has embossed prunus-blossoms. The smaller jar has a copper 'cupped' cover with geometric designs.
Dimensions:
Larger: W 11 x H 9,3 cm
Smaller: W 7x H 7 cm
Condition:
Both are in good condition, with only minor wear and oxidation of the copper mounting. The smaller jar has a impact-flake of the footrim.
Checked with strong UV light for defects.
Shipping method: The item is securely packed and shipped with insurance without stand or doll house vase.
