I am offering for auction a quite fabulous 19th Century watercolour attributed to Jozef Israëls 1824-1911. The painting depicts an interior scene with a man warming himself by a roaring fire. It is titled verso “At The Hearth”. The painting is signed lower right. A well constructed painting that would grace any wall in your home.
Provenance: This painting was acquired at a Fine Art Sale from Roseberys, London. It was Donated by Ben Uri Gallery & Museum to be sold for the benefit of its Research Unit.
In good condition for its age, and comes framed. Please view the photographs as part of the description. The frame and glazing are a gift no compensation given if damaged in transit.
