Spectacular rare 1st. Choice Ceremonial Bowl/ Plate, cobalt blue, decorated with gilded acanthus leaves, in excellent condition.

It is a raised bowl, double gloss glazed on the white gilded leaves, heavy gilded on the other leaves, all together in a symmetrical twisted model of acanthus leaves, with cobalt blue painted in between.

Polychrome painting with flowers is a pattern of sublime delicacy. Floral painting on porcelain has a long tradition at the Meissen manufactory that has grown continually throughout the ages and continues on to this day.

Rare and precious, more like a jewel, this is an eye catching splendor bowl, versatile piece to be cabinet displayed or magnificent centerpiece for the most pretentious ones.
