This Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Toa Sekiguchi is beautiful! She has a nice shape and the artisan has put a lot of detail in this doll. The kokeshi wears a kimono decorated with flowers and Japanese patterns. Toa Sekiguchi is a famous kokeshi artisan. Toa is part of a well known kokeshi artisan family. He is the son of the famous Sansaku Sekiguchi who has his own kokeshi museum in Gunma. Toa was born in Shibukawa City and still lives and works there. He has won numerous awards for his kokeshi including the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award. Height: 19,5 cm Please examine the pictures carefully in order to assess the quality of this kokeshi.
