Unknown - Latin Breviary liturgy 14th Century - 1350

Rare Latin 14th Century Breviary liturgy.

This exceptionally rare and beautiful book contains 155 leaves with text on the front and back of each page either on vellum or bifolium with religious prayers and was probably used by a priest or friar in either Spain, Italy or southern Europe in the 14th century. Possibly even for a priest who travelled to different provinces due to its small size.

Beautiful perfectly hand written text in gothic style with illuminations. Blue and red texts initials . Illuminated gold , vivid lapis lazuli blue and purple initials are contained on some of the pages.

Includes notes written and what seems to be historical initials.
Includes bookmarks , with notes such as “ magnificant”, “J Deum”….. and some others for interpretation.

Condition :
Rope bound spine, with leather around.
Heavily worn leather on spine, with wearing on all corners of front cover, but still strong intact, the front face and back face are slightly worn with marks but leather still holding.
Pages hold well and still bound, one or two pages are torn and 3 pages are not secured to the spine
anymore.
Some browning on the pages but paper is strong and ink is pronounced. Some ink has passed through the pages and is visible from one side.
Other then that the colours are beautiful and bright, some pages still very white and ink is very clear and text legible.

The book holds very well for its age. I would like to see it in good hands , for good preservation.

Shall be sent securely in a larger box well packaged , tracked and insured.
