Byrds - Ballad Of Easy Rider / "COLLECTORS TREASURE" 1969 With Place 3 Of The 500 Greatest Songs Of All - LP - Prima stampa, Stampa giapponese - 1969

The Byrds Influential American folk, psychedelic, and country rock band founded in Los Angeles in 1964. They recorded 12 studio albums before disbanding in 1973. During this period the band underwent several line-up changes with frontman and guitarist Roger McGuinn remaining the only constant member. In 1991 The Byrds were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the original five members performing together for the last time after their induction. Ballad Of Easy Rider -is a song written by Roger McGuinn for the 1969 film Easy Rider, with contributions from Bob Dylan (although Dylan is not credited as co-writer). The song was originally released on the Easy Rider soundtrack album in August 1969 as a Roger McGuinn solo performance. Rolling Stone magazine senior editor David Fricke has described the song as perfect, capturing the social mood of late 1969 and highlighting "the weary blues and battered expectations of a decade of social insurrection".
