conducted challenging overland expeditions as well as thirteen
mountain ascents over areas and up mountains then virtually
unknown. They surveyed nearly 600 square miles of central
West Spitsbergen, which included nearly circumnavigating
the entire main island".

N.B. Remote Areas and Island Destinations incur an additional
shipping costs of €19.50 levied by the Courier company.

The book was very well packed and quickly delivered. Although the indicated dust-jacket was missing, a very fine first edition book and a nice addition to my collection.

Apologies over the listing. We know there was no dust-jacket as we did not mention it on the overall preview as we would usually do. The dust-jacket shown is a pre-determined option on the Catawiki listing and it must have been ticked in error. The author mentioned referred to a previous sale "British Destroyers. A History of Development 1892-1953. Drawn by Admiralty Permission" which is a very similiar book in its presentation. Again we offer our apology. Kind Regards Tom
