Offered for auction is an interesting late 1930's M38 helmet with decals of the Dutch Rotterdam Air Raid Precaution or the pre-war Rotterdam Vigilante Organisation; there is still some debate which unit used this exactly. In the first book of Kevin de Joode it is mentioned as Burgerwacht Rotterdam, in the newer edition it is mentioned as a Rotterdam Air Raid Precaution helmet. It is in very nice condition, with the numbering as it should be the case, and a faint red CM stamp in the liner indicating 1939 or 1940 liner production (looks like 1939). The painted decals are in nice condition. Difficult to find helmet. A very honest, interesting helmet for sure!
