Beautiful paestan red-figure krater with two side handles. Bell-shaped body, upturned twin loop handles, and flared rim, all upon a concave, tiered, round foot. Designs red on black ground, with white and yellow accessories. Above the designs, laurel-wreath; below each, wave motif band. Large palmettes under the handles The obverse with a young male figure seated to the left on top of vegetation, with embroidered fillet, long hair, bordered himation over lower limbs and offering a withe circle, maybe a phiale. In front of him, a standing young male holding a thyrsos and cloak over the left arm. On the reverse two confronted himation-clad youths mantaining a conversation, one of them holding a withe staff. The piece includes thermoluminescence test. Dimensions: 35,50 x 33,50 cm. Condition: Part of the foot reconstructed.
