De houtsnedes 16 'Kintai Bridge at Iwakuni, Suo Province' / 17 'Ono in Hoki, with Oyama in the distance' / 18 'Gold mine, Sado Province' / 19 'Itsukushima, Depiction of a Festival' zijn uit de serie "Rokujuyoshu meisho zue" (Pictures of famous places of the sixty-odd provinces).
En houtsnede 22 (Numazu: Fuji in Clear Weather after Snow, from the Ashigara Mountains) is uit de serie "Gojusan tsugi meisho zue" (The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road).
Van de prenten 1 (aangemeerde schepen), 3 (bloesemtuin), 11 (landschap in de regen) en 20 (2 vrouwen uitkijkend over het landschap) is het onduidelijk aan welke Hiroshige ze toegeschreven kunnen worden.

'The series ('One Hundred Famous Views in the Various Provinces) dates from the middle of Hiroshige II's career, when he was in his mid-thirties. At this point, he had just started using the name 'Hiroshige', since his master Hiroshige I had just died (in 1858), and Hiroshige II had taken over the gō 'Hiroshige'; the prints in this series are signed 'Hiroshige'.
The series does not appear to contain the full one hundred prints advertized in the title; it is currently known to contain at least 81 prints.'
