The Lagavulin 16 is one of the most popular smoky single malt whiskeys on the market. With its sweet, smoky aroma, it is also a typical representative of the Scottish Hebrides island. It matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. At around 35-40 ppm it brings the typical smoke and combines it with maritime notes that are reminiscent of the rough coasts of Scotland and the stormy sea. It is bottled at a reduced alcohol content of 43.0 percent by volume. The result is a first-class and award-winning Scotch. The 16-year-old Lagavulin has received gold awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022 and the International Whiskey Competition 2015, among others.
