A sensational and large scale French patinated bronze statue of Diana the Huntress, also known as Diana of Versailles. It has a mark of the famous founder F. Barbedienne, and was cast in the late 19th century after the Antique model.
Diana dressed in classical attire and is reaching behind her shoulder to get a bow out her quiver.
Her other hand is holding the deer besides her. She is raised by a thick and impressive circular mottled base.
Exquisitely detailed with wonderful and rich patina throughout.
Generally in good condition and shape Highly Collectible !
