Whimsical early 19th century Georgian Staffordshire pottery figure of a spaniel dog carrying a bird in its mouth.

Russet red / orange and cream body with the bird's original colours being done in blue, green and yellow. The dog is depicted fully standing in a prancing position with its front leg raised.

Very sweet piece with a lot of character.

Date: c. 1820's

Very good antique condition. Crazing and some wear to enamelling appropriate to age; small chip to ear.

I am sorry for the disappointment, but I believe the buyer is being unreasonable. The pendant was clearly described as "Large oval statement pendant of a prehistoric fish fossil mounted in 18ct yellow gold." When it arrived, the buyer wrote to me: "The problem is that from the description and photos you couldn't understand that it's not all gold but there is a stone in the middle". I fail to see how anyone could not understand that a fossil is not made of solid gold and Catawiki agreed with me, closing the dispute in my favour.
