JRR Tolkien - The Lord of The Rings trilogy - complete with rarely seen dust jacket - 1989

Up for auction - this beautifully produced full three-book compilation of the Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien.

This edition was produced by Guild Publishing in the late 1980s, in a very smart gilt leatherette and stitched binding, and features The Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

As well as being in superb condition - this book comes with the rarely-found pictorial dust-jacket that went with it.

The jacket is in excellent un-clipped condition.

So often, this book comes up for sale jacketless, which is a shame, as the jacket really is quite wonderful, and sets the book up superbly on the shelf.

As can be seen by the pictures, the jacket is bright, and colourful and as vivid as it was when it was first printed.

The book itself is in very nice condition - straight corners, un-bumped, and square.

The internal pages are all clean and bright, and without any blemishes.

This is a lovely book for the discerning Tolkien collector, and not often seen in this condition, and with its jacket.
