This woolly mammoth molar was found by fishermen in the nets of a trawling fisherman's boat, in the Southern North Sea (Brown Banks). It is Pleistocene in age.
Scientific name is Mammuthus primigenius.
Beautiful blue lines on the chewing surface. Peculiar shape, very rectangular.
It has been well treated and stabilized with a synthetic raisin, as is usual, to avoid cracks.
