Modesty arrives in a state of dishevelment as she lays a trap for the gangsters who are holding a young lady hostage in this revealing Modesty Blaise strip drawn by Romero. The strip is signed by Romero in the central panel and is numbered 7227 It is extremely rare indeed to find any strips which have an element of nudity. This marks this particular strip out as something rather special. Modesty Blaise is one of the most important British newspaper strips, and this example is drawn by the artist who drew the most amount of strips for the series. This strip is in excellent condition. The Girl from The Future was the 67th story in the Modesty Blaise series to be published by the Evening Standard newspaper and written by Peter O’Donnell. The series became extremely popular and syndicated worldwide. A series of novels was also written by Holdaway, including one which featured as the book Vincent Vega (John Travolta) is reading when he is killed by Bruce Willis in the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Pulp Fiction’. Modesty Blaise newspaper strips were drawn/ painted by Jim Holdaway, Enric Badia Romero who sadly passed away last month as well as John Burns who also sadly passed away recently, Patrick Wright and Neville Colvin. Dick Giordano also drew a comic for DC comics. Films have also been made. Please examine all the photos to see just how wonderful this strip is.
