A 20th century etching, a print after the original etching plate from 1641, of 'The Windmill" ' by Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606-1669) by Theo Beerendonk.
Theo Beerendonk (1905-1979) was curator/director of the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam and in that capacity personally reprinted several etchings by Rembrandt in a small limited edition in around 1965.
-The etching is signed in pencil at the bottom left by Theo Beerendonk, 'Hand printed by Theo Beerendonk'. Signed and dated by Rembrandt at the bottom right of the plate.
Perfect condition in his passe-partout of the time
Size of plate : 15.5 cm x 21.8 cm + margins
