The Rolling Stones - She Was Hot / Great Picture Disc In The Iconic Tongue Logo Form - LP - Picture disc, Prima stampa - 1984

The Rolling Stones – She Was Hot Vinyl, 7", Shape, Single, Picture Disc The Rolling Stones' iconic tongue logo is one of the most recognizable and recognizable symbols in music history. It was designed by British graphic designer John Pasche and first introduced in 1970. The idea for the logo came about when Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger wanted a memorable logo for the band. He wanted something that was rebellious, provocative and contemporary at the same time. Pasche, who was an art student at the time, was commissioned by Jagger to create the design. The result was the famous “tongue logo” or also called “Mouth and Tongue”. It features an oversized, slightly torn red lip from which an abstracted tongue protrudes. The logo perfectly embodies the rock'n'roll attitude and rebellious image of the band. It became a symbol of freedom and the expression of the attitude to life of the 1960s and 1970s. The Rolling Stones tongue logo has been used on numerous of the band's albums, concert posters, merchandise and other releases. It has become a timeless trademark and is also widely used outside of the music world. The design has endured through the decades and remains synonymous with the Rolling Stones themselves. The tongue logo represents not only the band, but also an entire era of rock music. It's an example of how a simple yet powerful graphic design can become a cultural symbol and powerfully convey a band's identity.
