Amling [Ambling], Carl Gustav (b Nuremberg, bapt March 25, 1650; d Munich, Jan 1, 1703).
In the foreground are the personifications of painting (center), sculpture (left) and architecture (right) in antique clothing. Hermes, surrounded by putti, floats up from the top left and points to the work of painting. Athena is perched in the clouds at the top left. The background is composed of a backdrop of antique-looking buildings. In addition, further reminiscences of antique sculptures or architectural ornaments can be seen in the foreground, such as the torso of the Belvedere to the left of the sculpture.

Miután az 1980 -as évek elején az Oxfordi Egyetemen tanultam, volt szerencsém megtanulni a ritka könyv- és nyomtatott kereskedelemről úgy, hogy körbe -körbe jártam a londoni piacokon és aukciós házakban, amikor még nagyon lehetséges volt felfedezni ezt a leletet. Hasonlóképpen csiszolhattam szakosodott érdeklődésemet az illusztrált Természettörténet, Mitológia és Tudomány témakörben, ami remélem még mindig tükröződik az általam kínált tételekben.
